Welcome to Lawrenceburg Primary School
Located in Lawrenceburg Township, we are one of four schools that make up Lawrenceburg Community Schools Corporation. We are the only primary school, and we teach kindergarten through second grade. We hope you will enjoy our website and that it will be a valuable tool as you navigate through the primary years with your child.
A Message from our Principal
Hello and welcome to our school website! We are bursting at the seams with excitement about all the wonderful learning opportunities we are planning for our students at LPS. We have been amazed at what our students have accomplished in the past, and we are hard at work setting goals for improving for this year’s student learning. I just know you will be as proud as I am of our staff for putting into practice what they have learned through experience, in-services, and classes.
At times we could use your help with the activities here on campus, so we value our parents and other community members volunteering in our building. To create the best and safest environment possible for our amazing students, we require background checks for all our volunteers. If you are interested, please contact the school at (812) 537-7239. The staff and I thank you for sharing your child with us and appreciate your efforts to help your child be a success at school. We want you to know we put kids first here. I am looking forward to seeing you this year.
Lawrenceburg Primary Mission Statement
"At Lawrenceburg Primary School our learning environment recognizes and respects each individual, enables each child to maximize his or her potential, and develops responsibility within each child. The positive environment encourages our students to become lifelong learners.
We believe all students deserve to be surrounded by adults who value each student’s individual learning potential. We believe all students deserve dedicated teachers who are positive role models and who engage their students in a variety of researched-based teaching. We believe all students should receive extra help and time to experience school success by providing a low student/teacher ratio."
